How to Play

To play Protect Your Cryptos game, players engage in a strategic race to build and secure their digital asset portfolios until a player reaches the $1 million mark. Each participant starts with a hand of four cards and takes turns performing one of four primary actions: creating a "pair" of matching asset cards from their hand, matching a card from their hand with the top card of the discard pile, challenging another player to steal their top asset, or discarding and drawing to refresh their hand.

The game’s depth lies in the "Challenge" mechanic, where you use matching asset cards or "Wild" cards (representing high-value security or gold/silver assets) to attempt to take over an opponent's top stack. The defender can counter with their own matching cards, and the last person to play a card wins the entire set, moving it to the top of their pile. Crucially, your bottom-most asset stack is always "safe" and cannot be stolen, encouraging players to strategically layer their assets to protect their most valuable holdings. The round concludes once the deck is empty and all cards are played, at which point players tally their totals to see who is closest to the million-dollar victory.
